This presidential election has been dubbed as the most important election in American History. The nominations have already broken barriers to become the biggest change in history as Barack Obama became the first African American to be voted as the nominee of a major party. John Mc Cain became the oldest person to run for president and as well be nominated to run for a major party.

There have been so many jokes throughout the current run of this election. Whether it's ajoke regarding John Mc Cain's age or the lack of experience of Barack Obama and Sarah Palin, this election appears just as a high school drama fest of who can dig up the most dirt about the opposing candidate.

Most of the country would probably agree that this has been one of the longest elections. The campaigning process has lasted for two years. Americans are ready to just get this election over with and vote. The country has gone into a position doubt within the American government and are hoping for a change from the same.

Of course both candidates have promised the world to the nation and its voter's, but one elected into office of course no president can truly deliver all of their promises but they can definately try. After the election takes place all Americans can do is hope. Americans can hope for a change and hope that the person elected into office can start the process of moving the nation foward and into a better position than it has been in for the past eight years.

Many Americans have been extremely upset with the economy of the past four years and almost all Americans have been distraut with the current economic situation facing the nation today.
